Tonys Background
Tony joined the Army at the age of fifteen and has worked in many countries around the World. He enjoys working with people from all walks of life.
Tony is a student of life having completed tertiary studies in the military and subsequently through the Auckland Graduate School of Business, Massey and Otago Universities. He has completed many courses, reads prolifically and takes great joy observing human behavior.
Since leaving Fletcher Challenge in 1987 where he was responsible for leadership and communications development throughout the group, Tony has worked in New Zealand, Japan, Australia and Fiji in the fields of Organisation and Leadership Development. Tony is well known for his strategic thinking ability and is in demand as a learning and development expert, management consultant, team and personal development coach and motivational speaker.
Tony took a two year sabbatical from 1997 to 1999 when he lived and worked in Perth and Bali and completed a tour of duty in East Timor as a Major in command of the Forward Surgical Team. He had previously served in the NZSAS as Counter Terrorist Team Commander and Operations Officer.
Tony has completed the South Island Coast to Coast (in record time!!) and is a keen surfer, song writer, singer, guitarist and of course, family man.
Tony is accredited to conduct Team Management Systems (www.tms.co.nz ) on-line profiling, including the Leadership Behaviors Profile (LBF) and has developed his own Current Organisation Profile Questionnaire (COPQ) and Leadership Profile Questionnaire (LPQ).
Tony’s passion is working with people! His favorite pastime is playing his guitar - preferably at parties!
